I've prepared a multi-boot image for people who want to easily try as many distributions as possible. Official website is now here: https://xnux.eu/p-boot-demo/

Or: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqyuKysK6ag

Some history/details are on my blog: https://xnux.eu/log/

Question: which of these distros do you like best?

I haven't had time to play with either of them much. A bunch of them look quite polished already at first look, though.

You're amazing. Thank you! I'm looking forward to trying this out.

I imagine for updated versions of the operating systems, there is no easy way to update individual distros?

It's big so it's distributed as torrent only: https://megous.com/dl/tmp/0b32272c297f80...40.torrent (seed if you can)

Many thanks for that brilliant work.
I fully understand that you do not want to have the full downloading traffic on your website. However I never used torrents and was not able to get my installation working.

Therefore my suggestion that you put that image on some common storage server like pastebin and publish that URL heere.

@megous is there a script to setup p-boot or does it have to be setup manually? I gave it a go but the red/green led flashes probably mean mistakes in my boot.conf file. Also, is there any support for glodroid (aosp)?

It's not a Braveheart induced issue, is it?

You're giving too little detail. This is just an image that's meant to be flashed to SD card and has everything setup already. No need to run p-boot-conf.

If you enlarge the partition/filesystem, you can update them the regular way.

At least pureos update worked out fine for me.

I made some files that need to stay the same immutable, so as long as update will not try to overwrite the bootloader, updates should not break my changes to the modem scripts.

To me it looks like an unrelated question (to this image) about p-boot in general.

I'll try to upload beta version somewhere, when it will be available.

Yes, I should have been more clear: I was following the p-boot install instructions on the website before you posted this ready-made image. Nevermind, it's a bit off-topic for this thread and probably beyond my skill level.

Thank you, very much for this. I'll try it as soon as i get my pinephone.

One question, could glodroid work with p-boot?
Apparently it is in a very rough state right now but it would like to try it out once it gets more polished.
