Installing WPS Office on Manjaro

As I personally do not like the Libreoffice suite, and I don't mind too much using software that is not FOSS if it's a better match for me, I managed to get WPS Office running on the PBP running Manjaro, and it works really smoothly! The PKGBUILD and accompanying files are attached. This is just a minor adaption from the x86_64 AUR PKGBUILD.

That worked great! How do I update it? When I clicked the update button it only took me to a Chinese page. I am TOTALLY new to this PKGBUILD thing, but I'm learning...

You can go to their main website: https://www.wps.cn/product/wpslinux/
The you hit the big blue button (it says download or something) and then you copy the download link for arm .deb
And then you should be able to update the PKGBUILD, both the source link and the checksum

For those interested, you can achieve the same using the wps-office-cn package from the AUR. Although it says cn, it should be in English as well, depending on your system locale. The software itself is a bit different compared to the international version, but it is the only version that is available for ARM

Is this software compatible with Microsoft office files? I am quite interested in using this.

The compatibility is never perfect, even between different MS Office versions themselves, but it does a quite good job at being compatible yes.
