Also, what is needed to be able to ssh to the device? The IP shows up when connected via USB, but a connection refused error message is the result of the ssh command.
I know you said you upgraded, but could you make absolutely sure? ;p That startup error just shouldn't happen with a fully upgraded system.
For ssh, are you sure you connect to the right IP? It works for everyone else.
Tried starting with the base image and upgrading again yesterday. Have the same error in .xsession-errors. There was a warning that tail was not able to find something, but the exit code of upgrade --available was apparently 0 as it proceeded to the chained reboot command.
