Disappointed That I Bought the 2GB model

Have you tried booting the Pine without Ethernet connected?

I know there is a problem with the Android based images that prevents booting on the 2GB model if Ethernet is plugged in. It's supposed to work with the Ubuntu and Arch based images, but I have not tried those. I do know that it works with the Debian Xfce image that lenny.raposo posted in this thread.

I have noticed that DHCP did not seem to work (it boots, but just doesn't get an IP address) but assigning a static IP does.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the current Debian images works in 1080p currently (I am working on other resolution sets for it) and that audio is stuttering (another thing I am working on).

I will post a fix soon enough for both issues.

I will keep you all posted Wink
If you like my work be sure to check out my site or wish to donate to the cause

I don't have my board yet, but I just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate your efforts!

It is unfortunate that that not enough of us express our thanks!

http://imgur.com/Ncs3g9J ,  http://imgur.com/5LgKC2V , Thanks Lenny, I was able to boot into Debian desktop mate img. It was kind of laggy, I have the 2 GB if anyone is wondering.  I also was having trouble getting internet connection via ethernet.  Appreciate your time in doing this.

Please don't take this as trolling, but if you're disappointed I'm interested in buying your 2G pine.

Pls private message me and I'll buy it from you. I'm looking for about another 3 units. US people please, it'll make shipping cheaper.

Seconding MATE for a Windows-like experience. LXDE will probably give *slightly* better performance since it's a more lightweight environment, but you're really splitting hairs there. To be honest any performance gains are going to be tiny.

We so need a FAQ lol.

The power switch was one of the stretch goals. The word is that some people didnt want it so they just throw it in the package so you can add it if you want it. You dont need it, but some evidently wanted it.

Is it possible to deactivate the hdcp check in order to use a hdmi to dvi adapter? I would love to use the mate release as my desktop pc replacement. Thanks!
