Android 7.1 Tablet and TV (alpha, proposal)

Hello,

I've installed yesterday 0.3.6 on my pine64. Everything is working well on HDMI screen, but on LCD screen (pine64 official LCD 7" screen), touch pannel is not working (display ok). Is there something to activate ?

Today I've try again with 0.3.5 instead of 0.3.6 and behavior is different: LCD is flashing white twice on boot, red power led on pine64 stop lighting and nothing happen after. No problem on HDMI.

Again no issue with same LCD on Android 6.0

Any idea ?

I'm using 0.3.5 TV version with KODI, latest version, and I see a few issues after running for a few days:
1) The sound in KODI is becoming choppy.
2) Enabling debugging - the OSD shows that the FPS is really low - 1-15 fps - normally it's around 60 fps.
3) If I exit from KODI even android is slow/choppy

I tried to exit KODI and enter again - it didn't fix the issue.
I tried to restart the OS, from the menu - it didn't fix the issue - the boot animation is choppy

The only way to resolve this I have to unplug the power cable and let it sit for 5-10 seconds. Then plug it back in and everything works fine.

Any idea? Any logs that would be helpful?

I installed the Android 7.1 tv image onto a 32GB SD Card using Etcher. Android only sees 1GB of that. How do I make use of the full SD as internal storage on Android?

If you have windows PC, using command prompt and run diskpart.exe to check on your SD card actual capacity.

Hi all, the image boots and works perfect, at least on my LG tv but when I connect the pine to my (older) Philips tv the screen turns purple/ green/ pink and all the colors are strange (no I did not take any magic mushrooms ;-)).

When I edit uEnv.txt and select 1080 or 720, there are no problems with the colors but android does not fit the screen anymore. Is there any way to solve this?
(Btw I do not have any option to play with overscan settings in my tv menu.)

I like ver 7.1,but the Google Play store has limited items to search from?  Is there some settings that limit the items from Google Play in this version?  I want to add banking apps, Cable TV apps, airline apps, etc.  BTW, video rendering is great.  THanks!

Not really sure what you are referring to (unless you're running ATV) but you can always download and install the apps you need from apks.

Not really sure what you are referring to (unless you're running ATV) but you can always download and install the apps you need from apks.

Thanks for the response. Can you explain how the install of apps from APKS is done?  Is it added to the boot disk?  Perhaps a link?
