I have not. I am not 100% sure what the best method is for burning a non phoenix card image is.

There is no best method, though Win32DiskImager might be easiest. Download that here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/win32di...e/download

Then try the 8GB image, just to see if it works:
http://files.pine64.org/os/android/andro...64-8GB.zip

I just want to make sure I did this right since the results are worse. With windiskimager select the device select the image and just click write?

Yes. And once the burning process is finished, you can insert the SD card into the Pine and start it up.

That's what I thought in both the 64mb and 8 mb cases the screen doesn't even turn on. Neither image is rooted.

Have either of you tried the new Android 7.0 build?

Main thread about it is here.

Once downloaded and burned (using dd command or Win32DiskImager or Rufus or whichever), you have to uncomment a line in uEnv.txt and you should be good to go:

LCD:

To enable LCD, edit uEnv.txt from BOOT partition and uncomment:
Code:
Code:
fdt_filename_prefix=pine64/sun50i-a64-lcd-

(Edit: it seems touch does not work with this image yet (21/9/16), though this may change soon).

I downloaded the two links and my LCD is still not working.

What did you do with the two downloaded items? Please describe in as much detail as possible.

Also, which microSD card are you using and which power supply?

Don't waste your time and use Etcher instead. This tool will take care that you're not accidentally writing a zip to the SD card, it will prevent that you overwrite the wrong device, it will prevent that you try to use a corrupted image later since it verifies the whole burn process. It's self-explanatory also.

I have the same problem. LCD does not work. Pine64 Support has not responded either, but I submitted a ticket.

Hi,

What steps have you taken to confirm that the LCD does not work? Please describe giving details of what you did, how you connected the LCD, what operating system image you are using/trying to use, how you burned said operating system, which power supply you are using, and which microSD card. And any other information you can provide that you think might be relevant.

All Kickstarter provided power supply etc.
Update. I got mine working. First. Make sure your are using a clean SD card and try not to overwrite legacy software. Also use the LCD version build. Second. If you have a wireless module that you bought with the Kickstarter kit, REMOVE IT, then boot for the first time. After the device boots initially, turn off and add the wirless module. It should work.
