Looking for PineTime users to test an Android app with BLE heart rate support
#1
Hi everyone,

I'm currently developing a small Android app called Dormivox.

The Bluetooth feature was mainly designed with the Pine watch in mind – mostly because I like the project.

Current features:
• Live noise level detection
• Alarm to interrupt snoring
• Night statistics and history
• Playback of recorded audio segments
• Optional Bluetooth heart rate input (BLE)

I'm particularly interested in testing Bluetooth heart rate devices with open BLE support (for example PineTime or other BLE HR monitors).

If anyone here would like to try it and give some feedback, that would be very helpful.

You can find the app on the Play Store by searching for: Dormivox

Thanks!

Mitrax, if you have the time, even a simple native Linux phone/tablet app, (git is enough but also flatpak makes it easier for everyone) would really be useful, I have not had a HRM solution since the Nokia N900 days.  Even if it just outputs on the CLI though a nice GUI is nice I like to keep myself in a target zone when stationary cycling.  I am disabled and have been trying to dig out from several bouts of COVID which knock my stamina out from under me each time since 2020.

I'm more of a Debian server guy myself, but phone apps are a completely different ecosystem. For now I'm focusing on Android.
N900 days? Are you from Norway or Scandinavian? ?
I'm a solo developer and at the moment I'm just trying to improve the Android version. A Linux version would be far beyond my available time.
Need tons of garlic to even resist android garbage my brain Tongue
