Did a routine pacman -Syu, and halfway through, the terminal spit out some error message. Then the tablet shuts itself off and could never turned back on again regardless the duration of time I hold the power button. No led blinking. No slightest hint of backlight turning on. No text on screen. Nothing. As solid as rock. So off it went to the recycling center.

yea, these don't typically easily get beyond-repairable bricked. there are means to restore them if you look around the docs/wiki. the included uart adapter probably could've helped with bring life back to this tab2

As per the wiki, the tablet must at least be able to power on for uart adapter to be any useful?
My pinetab is dead as rock.
Can you resuscitate a dead body that was already frozen solid?
I tried connecting uart adapter. No led no nothing. Like a slab of rock. frozen solid.

I mean, i understand looking for help in the forums, but having trashed the device already...
