Paid apps for Pinephone
#1
Hello fellow human Blush

How would you go about paying for mobile apps in your Pinephone or other linux phone? Similar to how it already is for the duopoly phones? Or would you prefer something different?

I do have some ideas, but I want to avoid making this into a leading question Tongue

I think people here are kinda tired of the typical app store nonsense and are more inclined to mostly use apps that they would use on a desktop. If you did something like make a game or whatever then I'm sure you could get people to pay for that, but for regular apps you'll likely have a harder time.

When you say nonsense, what's the first thing that comes to your mind? Or what's the biggest one?  Smile

It depends on the kind of app but ultimately things that are riddled with adds or pay-to-win type stuff. Or broken free versions and working paid versions.

I would not.
It is Linux, I would make it myself if something I needed was not available.
Satisfied PinePhone, Pinebook Pro & PineTab2 owner; Thank you Pine64Team for your work!  Smile
