Feeling scammed by Pine64

Today i received an update to my ticket. I was told that i'm going to get refunded and that the 15% are waived because of the broken unit. I am though responsible for the cost of shipping it back. Not sure how that will be handled though, because the phone currently is in the hands of Luke.
I assume, that Luke then is going to send the phone off to Hong Kong and the amount will be withdrawn from my refund.
I can't say that everything is perfect for me now, but the current solution is definitely better than nothing. DHL quoted me ~26GBP for shipping from the UK to Hong Kong. Royal Mail seems cheaper, but i've looked at DHL because it usually is the norm here in germany.
If the guy you mentioned, Luke, already has it, than you already sent it back I'd assume. It sounds like a whole lot of miscommunication on their end.

That would be nice, though i haven't heard back yet from the support regarding that. I can just hope, that that will come in the next days, before everything will get even more delayed because of holidays.

So, finishing off this thread, i got refunded.
It all took quite a while, but i received it on paypal today.
Luke was very helpful in that matter, as he was in touch with the people i couldn't reach.
Even considering though, that pine64 is not a big company in that regard, i think the support has to get a little faster.

Thank you again to Luke, you helped me a lot there.

Greetings
Janik

nasty political situation going on there

That's understatement, I feel for them over there..

What was the condition of the box? Did it seem damaged? I am curious whether a factory worker knowing packaged cr ap into a perfect box.
And for those who have received a phone, does the packaging protect the phone from this kind of damage well, while in transit?
