The only time I had something like this was when I ordered cheese from Europe (they have delicious cheese), it took them 2 months to deliver.
So I had to throw it all away at the time it got delivered.
I asked the European post company, they told me to ask the Japanese post company, because it already arrived in Japan.
I asked them, they said they didn't receive anything from the Europeans.
I asked the Europeans again, and of course they were using this convenient "one size fits all" excuse called "because of corona...".
2 months later, it arrived.
Not delivered by the Japanese company they told me to ask, but a German company (DHL).
I was just as pissed off as you were about delivery service.
