Please help this dumbass. I am wondering if I should try to load a different OS to see if it's the Pine installer, the SD card, the SD card format type, or MEEEEEEE!!

Not sure what operating system you have on your computer ?
If you have Debian/Ubuntu, use 'disks' to zero wipe your sd card. (takes a long while to complete)
Then format to ext4.
Then use Balena Etcher to flash your preferred operating system to your sd card...
(remove then re-attach your sd card)
Next I go back to disks (be extra careful to pick the correct 'disk') and resize your OS partisan
to all or most of your sd card space.
There are many ways to do this, but this works well for me.
