It definitely fixes the jumpiness, along with the kernel errors. If nobody else posts instructions on how to patch the kernel in a few hours I'll slap together the process I used, but it's a little kludgy as I'm totally new to arch/manjaro, so i'm hoping someone with more experience can post the 'right' way to do it.
