For a side interest of mine, I was checking out DIY bookscanners (diybookscanner.org) which at this time mainly use canon camera's with CHDK (Canon Hack Development Kit) firmware replacements and a raspberry Pi to control.
I was wondering if we could user the IP cube for making images/pictures instead of video streams?
And if possible, which picture resolutions would physically be possible (x * y, MPixels), since for book scanning you need a decent resolution (better than FHD).
Which OS will be running on the Cube? I assume it will be possible to extend the OSS firmware with still capture functionality.
