If there is no time to build a firmware, at least release the SDK so users can build it themselves.
Aim to release the Android 9 build on next week.
The SDK already in the middle uploading to file server, this is a 100GB tarball :-(
Good news
If possible, please don't upload 100GB tarballs or upload separate smaller one.
Unpack SDK into source code files first like kernel, uboot, frameworks, hardware, device etc.
Then remove hidden .git history folders in root folder of SDK and compress to tar.bz and split into 10 files.
Hidden .git folder can be downloaded separately by users and placed into SDK folder for users that have fast internet and want to use it, otherwise it's just a waste of bandwidth and space used.
Can upload kernel, uboot folders to Gitlab/Github with git history to browse easily.
SDK's are usually only 15GB compressed without git history and will upload much faster.
i got an idea. since tllim stated the 100G tar was in the middle of uploading it stands to reason that there is gonna be a 100G tarball. so why don't you download that tar and break it down like you think it should be and then find a platform to put it on and then make links available to the community? that way you do something to help out the community and also do something other than bitch about what is or is not available. afterall, you are finally getting what you wanted and you complain about the format? if you think there is a better format why don't you contribute and offer the format you think is better?
