Still "Ready to ship" on my order. Details attached.
I suppose that support@pine64.com is /dev/null as there was no answer in nearly two weeks.
The Acrylic case arrived around 10 days ago, while the KS team and China team starts deploying 2GB March dispatch. They are currently revisit back to early bird deployment for the add-on modules that already in stock. Frankly speaking, we are overloaded and we are NOT Amazon, we try to dispatch at the most efficiency way and less mistake way that we can come out, the method may pissed some people off and I am sorry.
I think people are more upset because there was no update explaining that some accessories were late to arrive at Pine HQ, causing subsequent delays, and then pledges were locked down without people having the option to remove those items, in order to expedite their shipping.
We are for the large part very supportive of this Pine64 venture, and personally I think you yourself (TL Lim) deserve a medal for all your hard work on this forum, without a doubt.
What kickstarter backers like, almost as much as receiving the item they pledged for, is the feeling like they are 'part of the team', that things are accomplished together, and that, as an aspect of that, they are kept informed of all things, good and bad, during and after the campaign, such as delays. We do not trust the politician who looks suspicious and who seems to hide or disguise his (or her) true nature. In the same way, we want our kickstarter creators to be open, honest and direct with us, even if that means exposing some vulnerabilities and leaving open the possibility for criticism. Because criticism will come no matter what you do. So better to lay all your cards on the table than to hide them away and not show your hand.
