To add 2 cents to the conversation...
In my experience, PoE injectors of this type use pairs from the 4 pairs available, only allowing data transmission over 2 pairs, not 4. In 1000Base-T case (very common), it uses 4 pairs and isn't suitable for this type of adapter. However in the case of 1000Base-TX (which requires Cat 6 cabling, and not as widely implemented), it only uses 2 pairs so these should be OK. Check your switch spec if you aren't sure which you have.
