ROCK64 STEREO AUDIO DAC ADD-ON BOARD and USB serial adapter for Pine64
#1
I noticed that the pine store has the following,
PINE64 USB SERIAL CONSOLE/PROGRAMMER - https://www.pine64.org/?product=pine64-u...programmer

Will this function as designed via the serial adapter on the Stereo Audio DAC Add-on Board?

Also, if the Serial Console/Programmer peripheral does work with the Stereo Audio DAC Add-on Board, may I use it (if even in a limited way) as an additional USB adapter? (I suspect not, but I wanted to be sure, and confirm or clarify my (mis)understandings.)

PINE64 USB SERIAL CONSOLE/PROGRAMMER design for PINE A64 board that has EXP port.

For ROCK64, please use the PADI serial console, https://www.pine64.org/?product=padi-serial-console

However, the Audi DAC board header occupied the UART pins and you will been to solder three pins (Rx, Tx, and Gnd) to access into console.

I have the PADI serial console and I find it works nicely. (I should have mentioned as much.)

(1) The pins on the AUDIO DAC ADD-ON BOARD's UART connection are not soldered?
That is, are they just for appearances? The pins presently connect to nothing?
Seems strange, but upon scrutinizing the board, I can see no leads to its UART receptacle.

(2) Were I properly to solder a 5V connection (in addition to the others) to the UART connection, is there any way (that you see, with code) to convert this UART to a USB 1.x-compatible output?
I am really only considering USB 1.x speeds. At the very least, I wonder if I could arrange having a keyboard attached thusly.
Yeah, this would be a significant effort, and I would more logically just use a USB 2.0 hub on one of the extant ports (but connection via a hub may not be possible for some fussy hardware). I am just curious about its feasibility.
