this will work IF pine64 build can do sideload process, IF sideload ota.zip is released and IF possible to un-root/root the pine64 build. otherwise i do not see a way.
The OTA will be release as zip. We are currently preparing one and still pending one small issue to be resolved. Once resolved, we will post out on end of this week.
Will we be able to root and unroot after we apply the zip? You're making it worse but not answering the lead question. Can we update/upgrade rooted android WITHOUT starting with a fresh image everytime?
