Yup. You could also do a macgyver, pull the white surround off of the two pin RTC socket, and precariously wedge a CR2032 battery in between the two pins!![]()
The moral of the story is you just need to connect a 3v-ish power source to the RTC pins if you want that functionality!
Well, I didn't MacGyver it, but I did install the adafruit pieces with a couple of spade terminals and electrical tape. Seems to be working....
