I tend not to use the power button on devices unless necessary or particularly convenient to save wear and tear on the button and haven't used the cover yet because of the glue.
I've turned of autosuspend and use the button now and my PineNote still loses wifi after a sleep/wake cycle. I was about to decide I have fauly wifi hardware, but now I am leaning toward a problem reloading drivers during wake. When I remove some modules related to networking then modprobing them back, the wifi device and menu entries come back and wlan0 is present and up, but not up and no IP address.
