Odd, I have not experienced that on my PineNote (recent order) which is running (as per Settings / System / About) Debian GNU/Linux trixie/sid.
Gnome 47 running Wayland with 6.12.0-rc2-pinenote-202410092341 kernel.
I did allow it to do an update (hat this, lets not follow windows stupidity). Of course like all updates this makes you flinch when it reboots...then unexpectedly reboots again. After one or two reboots, it stabilized.
My "sleep" mode is to press the button. I think I disabled the automatic sleep.
Automatic = soon will break. Sure it's insecure to not update. Sure I'm missing the fixes/features you worked so hard on that you cannot conceptualize why I dont want them...
but...a manually scheduled update...say it's tax season and I need my stuff to work past taxes...then could break it.
Your "automatic" doesnt know what's going on in the world. Just cause some big company suggests they should control the software on your device and update whenever they want...doesnt mean we have to.
Ok, back to the wifi. Im connected 5gz auto connect. Not that it matters.
I will turn on auto-sleep and see if wifi works when it comes back up.
What about the power button on/off (just tap it, dont hold it for long)? Does that also disconnect wifi and not restore when it comes back on? Ie is this only timeout sleep or any sleep?
