Since the store page explictly says: "The PineTab-V comes without an OS installed" if it does come with anything loaded on the built in eMMC it will be a bonus.
VisionFive2 SBC which has the same SoC on it (JH7110)
Since the story page explictly says that "The PineTab-V comes without an OS installed" I think will consider it a bonus if anything useful comes preinstalled on the embedded eMMC storage this device will have.
I was an early backer of VisionFive2 SBC which has the same SoC on it as this (JH7110) so I'm hopeful that my ongoing experience/experiments with that thing will lead to a lesser learning curve with this. Recently there appears to be even more JH7110 powered boards/device being built and sold so it's looking good that eventually there will be a really strong ecosystem around this chip.
Nevertheless, in the short term if I find anything particularly interesting or unusual to watch out for (once I get it - I'm in the UK so I'm anticipating that shipping to me might take awhile) I will try to post some helpful notes/advice here.
BTW Sorry for the double post above - first time using this forum and it appears to have some "quirks" to it...
