I'm not sure, but perhaps you need to enter fastboot mode first. You could try to do it like in the flashall script und just exchange the flashing commands. But you would probably be better off asking directly on the bug tracker of the Github repo.
Also take note of the troubleshooting doc which also explains how to enter fastboot mode.
