I just lost Volume up/down

I have a PP CE UBtouch , and i'm running Mobian from SD card - 20200821 with latest updates

During a call today i wanted to turn up the volume (it's rather low).
The slider showed max volume , and i tried to turn it down,then up - Mobian (crashed) rebooted.

And now i dont have any reaction to volume up/down - No slider is shown , and no volume change is heard.

Any hints about what have happened ??

Or is it a rewrite of latest nightly on the SD ??

I have no idea what happened, but if no volume bar is shown, does that also mean that
no device is shown at all (in Settings -> Sound or alsamixer or pavucontrol) ?

If so, does audio work if you boot from a new image on an SD card?
