Oh man that sucks
I have tried a D-Link WiFi adapter and also tried the WiPi from element14 (made for their Android RIotBoard) and haven't had any success with either. Would of been cool if there was usb wifi support. Maybe there is something in the programming side that its not seeing it plugged in?
This is the link to the WiPi - https://www.element14.com/community/docs...spberry-pi

Most USB wifi dongles, especially RealTek require firmware blobs the host hardware has to have. This is likley the issue we are having at the moment. The USB wifi adapters I have on my Pi both require those binaries or they dont work, Rasbian has them, given time... there is hope?!?
