OMV Rock64
#1
Hi,
I have a 3.5 inch HDD connected to ROCK64 via a powered dock. What is the proper way of turning off OMV installation ? Everytime I start, I get some error message, volume was not unmounted properly, could be corrupt message. How do i fix this ?

It's the dock, use one of these instead.

So, I downloaded and flashed the lasted "stable" version of OMV.

I've logged in and created a new password as prompted.
I followed the instructions to update and upgrade.

However, I can't seem to connect to the OMV via HTTP. I am missing something I believe...Please help?

You need to get a sata to usb adapter that has power, since you are using a 3.5 inch drive. Or just replace the 3.5 inch drive with a 2.5 inch drive and an unpowered sata to usb adapter.  The rock64 doesn't have enough power to spin up a 3.5 inch drive but one or sometimes 2 2.5 inch drives aren't a problem.  A regular dock may also work, I have a single drive dock and don't get that error, but I'm not using it on a regular basis.  The ebay link i sent you is all you need, the offline clone feature on the dock you have is more than likely what is causing your issue.  That dock is more than just a sata to usb adapter.

Actually I'm aware that you need an external powered dock. The one I linked is externally powered, supports UASP and doesn't have electric backflow..
Please tell me what I should be looking for when buying new dock as eBay.com doesn't deliver here in my country

You should be looking for a basic adapter that has it's own power supply.

Okay, I checked the error logs and it is mmcblk1 refers to the memory card, not the HDD.
Can anyone tell me if you guys faced the same issue with your memory card ?
