Are there any plans to offer more than 4GB of ram on the Pinebook Pro? 6 or 8GB would be awesome and not a waste considering phones are coming with that much these days.
Awesome news! Wish I could pre-order today for the Pinebook Pro. Can't wait to see how the phone develops!
Personally I'm much more excited about the tablet. If Bluetooth works well it'll likely become my main MP3 player for my 300+ ripped CD music collection. Both Android and IOS are geared more towards streaming from the cloud than sorting and playing music from 20GB stored locally. Clementine and Quod Libet both work great on my Raspberry Pi with 10.1" Waveshare touchscreen, so this will be a nice upgrade for me.

Looking forward to this! I love my Pinebook 14" for tinkering, but it would be nice to have a beefier unit. So long as it pans out at the $199 price tag, you can count me in.
First I like to thank you guys at Pine64.org for offering new products later this year that designed and intended for FOSS users with usable performance at low cost. I fully intend to order both the Pinebook Pro and the Pine64 Tablet w/ keyboard once available and after reading the reviews.
I will be getting them precisely because they are open platforms with Linux support, and willing to work with distro developer/maintainers, in particular with the Manjaro-ARM team. I use the Manjaro Xfce Edition without MS-Windows at all.
Thanks
SUPER excited about the PinePhone. All the hardware looks great/promising, but the PinePhone would create a new market category for which nothing currently fills the need (a true Linux-capable smartphone device). I'll be watching updates on this one excitedly, and as long as things turn out well, I'll be a day-one customer/user.
