Please download it directly from their server.

HI Luke, there is a problem, I downloaded the code from the github from Lakka's website:https://github.com/libretro/Lakka-LibreELEC

Nope. But for anyone who wants to retrogame on the Rock64 I say 'wait'. That LAKKA image is quite outdated and has a number of issues. Not to mention poor performance.

There will be a public alpha for the community to test very soon - likely this week. Literally putting finishing touches on it now - all major issues have been resolved. We want proper feedback on all/most facets of the Recalbox image so mrfixit2001 is making sure as much functionality is available on the alpha on day 1.

Hey Luke,

will you post an advice here when there is this alpha image?

Thank you!

Yes. The image is delayed largely because of me - since I am currently away.

I'm back in the UK. Last tiny OC and settings fixes added right now. mrfixit2001 has been working super hard to get the alpha to feel more like a polished beta (its honestly pretty amazing); the alpha will be out very soon.

Again, its my fault for the delay not the mrfixit2001 or Recalbox dev(s).

Yea, we know it's your fault already. Big Grin Don't sweat it M8.
If network/SMB/NFS experience is OK then I'll be flashing it straight away.
I understand it will have own GUI but is there possibility to add some X environment for remote connections?
I hope for Xbox One game pads/bluetooth support.

Networking has been fine for me during testing. External drives automount, so yes you could use it as a NAS (via SMB) ... I guess. The BT from the shop works (as does the WiFi dongle) - other BT or WiFi dongles may or may not work. My 8bitdo and PS3 controllers connected without any issues - don't know about other controllers (I had some issues with wired no-brand controllers).

Recalbox is a custom OS - that is to say you wont be installing anything using a package manager like apt or similar, so no X.
mrfixit2001 already wrote up the release notes ... so soon means soon.

What?
No apt-get available at all?
That's a pity.
I hoped to get openVPN+hotspot, Gimx and few other packages installed.
This way I could permanently replace OS.
