Pine Phone Pro: EU Tax

Hello,

I have two questions:

1. If I order a Pine Phone Pro to ship in the EU, must tax paid by the recipient?
   
2. What is the meaning of the sentence "In general, custom tax and VAT not included except Pine Phone EU VAT batch."? Does it mean that the Pine Phone Pro is shipped inside of the EU and only shipping must be paid and no tax?
   

I ask these questions, because the last ordered items were shipped from Asia and I've had to pay customs duty and tax for all items including the shipping costs.

in e.u., person always have to pay vat tax somehow. is it paid at checkout or when receiving package, it varies.

almost all items except pinephone (pro), taxes are paid at the customs, when receiving.

pinephone regular. vat is included at the checkout.

pinephone pro, for past deliveries, taxes were paid at the customs. however, next batches could be different. check the fine prints.
