Unable to Boot
#1
I'm using Manjaro Phosh linked from here: https://wiki.pine64.org/wiki/PinePhone_P...anjaro_ARM

It was running fine, but this morning I ran an update and now cannot boot.  I did receive an error with initcpios, and uboot was updated as well.  I'll paste the update output below.

When I boot, I get a red light then it turns yellow(?).  If I put my hand near it, I see red, yellow, and green light.  Nothing displays on the screen, and I cannot seem to boot into either the system or SD card.

There are apparently two contacts on the motherboard (I believe they're labeled DIS eMMC) that you have to short in order to bypass eMMC and boot from the SD card.

So I had some people on the Pinephone chat try to help me out a bit with this. There is a RE button on the explorer edition that can do it instead. I was getting into mask ROM mode which I was informed means that it's unable to boot from the SD card I have inserted as well. I tried multiple SD cards, both of which worked before this happened and used them both for OS images, so they worked in my PPP. The result didn't change with different SD cards, and I'm still stuck unable to boot from either internal or inserted SD.

Forgot to mention, but I also tried charging the phone for a while as some thought it may have been a low battery. I used a 5v/3a charger, and when I disconnect for a couple minutes and connect back to the PC while in mask ROM mode, it shows right back up indicating my battery is working.

Barugon: I saw a post with a picture of those contacts, they're not on my Explorer Edition motherboard though I do have the Re switch.

codefossa: I encountered the same issue of not being able to load to sdcard because of a bad eMMC install. I wrote a guide here: https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=15921 but to summarize:

1. Remove USB-C power and the battery.
2. Hold down the power button for 10 seconds, release for 3 seconds, hold down the power for 10 seconds, release the power button.
3. Re-insert the battery.
4. Hold reset (pinhole top left named Re) while inserting USB-C power.
5. Release reset after 4 seconds.

Please let me know if it works for you.

Thanks for the instructions, but sadly after following these I am still instantly going into mask ROM mode.
