Isn't it funny that using an SD card with ultra slow random writes even leads to Android behaving unstable and that problems are gone when using any recommended SD card that shows high random I/O performance?

And still only bullshit recommendations like 'speed at least class 10' available in Pine64 wiki leading to all sorts of troubles for their users. But why should this change? Why spending a minute on improving documentation when their users can waste hours and hours of their live due to missing/wrong recommendations.

BTW: With the 16GB test something clearly went wrong and you should keep in mind that when the card is used inside Pine64 the board's SDIO implementation limits sequential transfer speeds anyway to 23MB/s max. All the numbers here also apply to Pine64: http://forum.armbian.com/index.php/topic...rformance/
Yes, I would have preferred to not have had to go through that.  Thank you again for all your help!

I can't see any tests here that have been run on the Pine64+ 2GB, so here goes: Samsung EVO 64GB (MB-MP64D):

Code:
ubuntu@pine64:~/development$ git clone https://github.com/hglm/flash-bench.git
ubuntu@pine64:~/development$ cd flash-bench/
ubuntu@pine64:~/development/flash-bench$ make
ubuntu@pine64:~/development/flash-bench$ sudo ./flash-bench
Using test file flash-bench.tmp (using all 512MB).

The test and result is super helpful. Thank you! It shows me that my card sucks. No surprise really, I am replacing it with an EVO.

Does any data exist comparing the SD cards that come with the Pine A64 to the others that have been tested here?

Sorry for not picking up on that!

It just seems that we have 5-6 different cards tested and can compare them but none are the one that is provided by the board maker.

Based on the Sunxi, Armbian, and Pine64 community, highly recommended to use Samsung 32GB EVO Plus microSD card.

If I were making the decision today that would be the best available information.

I have already purchased two cards from Pine and am looking for data comparing the performance of the Pine supplied cards to the others.

That way I understand the performance hit I take using the Pine cards.
