Clarification on Privacy Kill Switches

When ordering the pinebook pro I read to hold down F1/F2/F3 for 10 seconds to kill the wifi/camera/mic. Then in the Sept 2019 blog it was said to use the pine key with F10/F11/F12 to enable the kill switches. However I and not seeing either method work.

I have ran the updating script but it always come back as its all good no updates for you. When I hit Pine key and the F10 I see the lights for the Caps Lock blink twice and when I release the buttons the app menu opens. I don't notice anything happen and I still have wifi. Even after trying the same thing again with the F11 and F12 keys.

Have I missed something?

As far as I know, you need to press the Pine key and hold down either F10, F11 or F12 (not F1/F2/F3) for ten seconds.
