Extremely low write speed on GB ethernet
#1
Hello,
I've had a problem with the write speeds I'm getting over wired connection, I'm only getting about 2-4 MBps at best, when I expect at least 60.
I'v installed auyfan's stretch-openmediavault-rockpro64-0.7.10-1072-armhf, the device is connected to a gigabit router, also tested connecting it directly to my machine with similar results.
I'm suspecting it had something to do with the Realtek RTL8211 driver not installed correctly,
Code:
root@rockpro64:~# ethtool -i eth0
driver: st_gmac
version: March_2013
firmware-version:
expansion-rom-version:
bus-info:
supports-statistics: yes
supports-test: no
supports-eeprom-access: no
supports-register-dump: yes
supports-priv-flags: no

Is there any way to try and install the correct driver for this chip?
Thanks,
Omer.

Have you tried disabling rx/tx offloading?

apparently it was not a problem with the connection, but with the drives that are connected.

when under load, the usb connection the the drives that are connected to the hub crashes.
https://pastebin.com/JGM3xKDz

the hub is a-4 port powered hub by Anker, and two powered sumsung disks are connected to it
hub's lsusb - https://pastebin.com/MiAMh9K5
I'm running 4.4.154-1122-rockchip-ayufan-g7859b9b904a9
with OMV installed

i'v tried the following advice https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=183190 on comment #12, which helped a little, the drives became more stable, but disconnected after all.
