Calls on ppp

I'm on postmarketos on a ppp and I lost audio on calls. Not sure why. When I run AT+QDAI? The output is just a empty line then 'OK'. Does anyone know what value I should set this to? Or better yet, how can I lookup the value it should be.

I am sorry to hear that you lost call audio. My PinePhonePro has been stable for many months now. I have a lot of questions, but before I ask, can you read this post about how I have my phone setup.

Thanks for the reply. My system is a little different from what you describe there. I have /usr/share/alsa/ucm2/PinePhonePro/ instead of /usr/share/alsa/ucm2/Rockchip/PinePhonePro/ and my configs were fairly different. You can see them here. https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/pmaports...type=heads. I did try the configs from Biktorgj that you linked there (replacing the paths) but that completely broke sound.

There is a lot at play with getting the call audio to work.

On the EG25 modem, 
  Stock firmware is different then Biktorgj firmware. (I have Biktorgj firmware)
  Your provider matters. With Biktorgj, you need to load the correct ADSP version for your provider. 

Once you have the EG25 set correctly, then the audio configs are used. 
  I use the Biktorgj configs because I have Biktorgj firmware

In my early testing of the call audio, I ran into no sound and sound that was comparable to a train going by.

I know calls work on DanctNIX Arch with Phosh and Mobian when using the Biktorgj firmware and configs.

FYI, The popstmarket wiki has the PinePhonePro calls as partial working. You maybe on your own in trying to get it to work. Maybe all you need is to flash the Biktorgj firmware. (NOTE newer phones had some issues with flashing the Biktorgj firmware, look at other posts to find the answer)

Make calls right after flashing is good! It sounds like the phone is not switching the audio profiles correctly.
You can switch profiles during a call to see if any work.
Swipe top menu down >> expand the volume >> click on a different profile.
I have "Speaker" and "earpiece"
Phone call needs to be on earpiece (use side volume buttons to make sure you are not on mute)

Any changes to the config files does need a reboot of the phone.

Also, I think the Mobian users had a "no audio" during phone calls after a deep sleep. A reboot of the phone allowed them to make calls.

Are you on a fully updated DanctNIX Arch phone. I tried out DanctNIX on a sd card with the 2024/12/23 image and everything worked fine there, but after running pacman -Syu and rebooting audio is gone there too.
