I wanted to contribute more solutions that problems, and noticed my first problem was a frequent one though it seems to occur for different reasons and with different fixes. For that reason I'd like to invite people to post their solutions here for the issue of soft-bricking their pine phones where they get the pine64 logo followed by a blank screen and no OS boot.
