Not booting with latest ubports image

I had the same problem, but after several reflashes and retries, I got it to boot, but the display had SEVERE flashing issues.  I am now flashing build 298, hoping for better.

  Disappointed,   Was a decent work in progress, back in early March,  but a download of a recent release sounded like an old 1960's AM walkie talkie, just loud static.


  Undependable for making or receiving phone calls in 'out of the box' mode,  though I guess if you can do terminal,   some can make it work, but if you are GUI user 'No Joy'
  Less actual function than a month ago.?

I think.... some may think it is 'not booting' because it does take quite a long while to load from a cold start,
but if you wait long enough,    it does    eventually load.
