Scanning with PostmarketOS

Has anyone had any success enabling scanning?

I have printing working, following the Alpine wiki, but not scanning.

Please can you give me some tips?

So it seems that one needs to install sane, which includes scanimage, and any required backends for the scanner.

Sane (scanimage) requires avahi (avahi-daemon) to find network printers, but is not installed as a dependency.

Install avahi and start the avahi-daemon service.
