i said elsewhere, but maybe repeat.
i manage to install and register signal on waydroid x86_64 on a laptop. however, no camera support, so it means no linking to other apps, like signal-desktop. waydroid also requires wayland support, which may not be straitforward.
I have signal-desktop on my PC (RockPro64) and all my PinePhone installs. Compile once on the RockPro for aarch64 and install everywhere else :-)
- ROCKPro64 v2.1 2GB, 16Gb eMMC for rootfs, SX8200Pro 512GB NVMe for /home, HDMI video & sound, Bluetooth keyboard & mouse. Arch (6.2 kernel, Openbox desktop) for general purpose daily PC.
- PinePhone Pro Explorer Edition, daily driver, rk2aw & U-boot on SPI, Arch/SXMO & Arch/phosh on eMMC
- PinePhone BraveHeart now v1.2b 3/32Gb, Tow-boot with Arch/SXMO on eMMC

Thank you both for your replies!
I think I will also try to use Signal desktop if I have a working ever Linux smartphone again.
(My both PinePhones went bad and are just annoying electronic waste now I'm afraid, so Axolotl currently doesn't really matter for me anymore...)
Again, thanks!

...and it works again! Texts are visible here since yesterdays regular Mobian updates - It's seems some component/framework(?) which was used by Axolotl in the background was buggy/wasn't compatible anymore... and is fixed now.

...it's somehow wierd (but nice!
) that Axolotl on Mobian STILL works here... (last version is from Oct 27 2022, I waiting for a critical change on the Signal infrastructure that finally kills Axolotl any day, but so far it still works!
)
