I have tried to update my pinetime with pinetime-updater and a raspbery pi. The script ended fast, without succes.
Now the watch is not starting or loading anymore. It only starts with pin 3 and 4 connected with the 3.3V pin and ground pin of the pi. Then it works fine (screen, bluetooth and gadgetbridge).
Ideas?

Hello Gentleman,
I bought this phone as a general call/text basic smart phone, a none-contact-tracing phone.
So, not a Techie, and am starting to learn.
However,
I booted up the phone and the screen came pre locked with a passcode I do not know. I can't get past the lock screen. I'm assuming that this is not normal? Can somebody direct me to what I need to do, or who I need to speak too.
Thank you in advance.

New PinePhone owner here, using the latest Manjaro Arm.
Coming from Android I found that I quickly got used to clicking the notification area or the app tray to open/close, but every time I go to unlock the phone I forget that it's slide to open. I assume it's set this way for a number of reasons, but I sure wish there was a way to change the behavior to a tap to keep things consistent.

Hi guys
I got my PP today and I managed to login using the default passcode (123456). But sometimes it happens the lockscreen is stuck. I can swipe it up but the buttons to enter the passcode seem not to respond. Can I fix this somehow? Because I can literally don't do anything now..
With kind regards,

I would like to disable the passcode lock screen. Takes way to long to access the phone and I have zero worries over 3rd party access to the device.
I have looked around the filesystem for lightDM, phosh, phoc config or settings files in the usual places, /etc and not found them?

Hi guys
I just received my PinePhone and one the first things I like to do is replacing the current operating system (Manjaro) with Mobian. So I googled up the instructions and ended up at
https://wiki.mobian-project.org/doku.php?id=install. I am using the JumpDrive method as it sounded the most comfortable but I am kind of stuck. I managed to flash the JumpDrive image to an SD card using Balena Etcher. But according to the instructions I am supposed to boot the phone from SD next. But I have no clue how to do that. I read somewhere it is supposed to boot automatically when I insert the SD in my phone, which I did. But nothing happens. I also checked the SD card for damage, but that is not the case. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
With kind regards,
TheBoneJarmer

Does the check for updates in system settings About and Updates download and install new OS releases?
I am running the Ubuntu Touch 2020-09-18 release that was installed when I powered up the first time out of the box, or do I need to download and flash the drive manually to get the newest stable version?

| Manjaro Crashes after entering password. |

I bought the Pinebook Pro and was just running the Manjaro Linux default operating system. I installed all of the most amazing programming tools and games and it was running fine....until today. I was trying to install the updates using the default graphical package manager that appears on the desktop. However it just froze during it and I could not even close it or get other things working. So I tried to force a shutdown by holding the power button. Then when I booted it up again and hit enter, it completely froze. I could not login to KDE Plasma anymore. However I had installed the Gnome Desktop environment last month so next time I selected the Gnome session and then entered my password and hit enter. It successfully booted me into Gnome. So I know the problem probably lies with something in KDE.
For now I have a workaround. I ran these commands to disable the default login screen and replace it with gdm.
systemctl disable sddm
systemctl stop sddm
systemctl enable gdm
systemctl start gdm
So I can successfully log into Gnome but only a few of my installed programs load at all. I can browse in firefox, run commands in a terminal, and open the file manager to move files around, but other programs don't open at all from the menu. I'm not sure what went wrong and I spent two hours trying things before giving up for the night. Has anyone else encountered similar problems? I think I may have a half installed update because the crash seemed to happen when I first installed the updates. I broke something and I'll try again when I have the strength. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for how to get things back the way they were.
