  Dev toolchain
Posted by: MasterC - 01-27-2016, 01:08 PM - Forum: Linux on Pine A64(+) - Replies (3)

Can anyone point me to info on setting up the proper dev toolchain for the Pine64? I'm assuming there is a discussion for this somewhere that I'm not able to find. The toolchain and other related dev environment setup so we're all working on the same or similar setups.

Thanks.

  SECURE Preorder
Posted by: weirdboy - 01-26-2016, 12:47 PM - Forum: General Discussion on PINE A64(+) - Replies (3)

Hello,

I went to the preorder page but noticed that the store frontend, including where one is supposed to enter credit card information, is not using HTTPS. Can you please fix this? I would love to preorder one, but not I'm willing to give you my credit card in plaintext. It also makes me a bit nervous about how you are storing and managing this information on the backend.

As another user suggested, Paypal support would certainly help to alleviate my fears here.

API for controlling GPIO pins from Android apps
Posted by: Ghost - 01-26-2016, 07:49 AM - Forum: Android on Pine A64(+) - Replies (5)

Backer Per-Jarle Sæther would like to know:

"Do you have an API for controlling GPIO pins from Android apps?

I would like to make my own apps for controlling the GPIO pins. Would be awesome if this could be possible from java apps without the need for native coding."

Can anyone offer any help?

  Virtualization Support
Posted by: soccercheng - 01-25-2016, 06:47 PM - Forum: Linux on Pine A64(+) - Replies (12)

Hi All,

I am not able to find any clear information if Pine64+ supports virtualization. The followings are my questions

-- Does Allwinner A64 SOC support Arm virtualization extensions?
    * How about its MMU, it support stage 2 translations?
    * Is there any further document for our reference?
-- Does Pine64+2G support secure EL2 boot for hypervisor?
    * We need to enable KVM and Xen or other hypervisor support on Pine64, but from the sunxi wiki, it seems

the current u-boot enters the kernel in the secure(?) EL1 exception level.
This currently denies any virtualization (KVM) to be used.
