| Rock64 ethernet problems |

Hi
I have a Rock64 board 4GB version and just cannot get a reliable ethernet connection.
I have flashed the SPI and I am booting from a USB 3.0 HDD (1TB) connected to a powered USB 3 hub.
The same problem occurs with ayufan linux, Armbian, Nextcloudpi and DietPi; with DietPi being the most stable to date.
While I can get to the login screen and login when connected directly to a keyboard and HDMI, when I connect an ethernet cable or SSH into the machine the whole system slows and becomes unresponsive.
The ethernet lights flash intermittently and often go blank for 20-30 seconds at a time.
I have tried limiting the ethernet connection to 100MB, cutting the blue and brown cables, two different routers and the problem is always the same.
As I intend to use this as a Nextcloud server obviously reliable ethernet is key. Is this a common problem and how can I fix it before returning the board.

Hello all,
I'm thinking of buying the 99$ Texas Instruments DLP projector for the BeagleBone.
It can be wired up to a raspberry pi as well.
http://www.ti.com/tool/DLPDLCR2000EVM
I very much want to know if this can be configured on an Ayufan Ubuntu Bionic image.
These are the instructions to make it work with a Raspberry Pi:
https://www.mickmake.com/post/build-a-pi...-project/2
(Also a video tutorial from the same guy):
I guess I should start off by asking what are the main differences when using the GPIO on a Rock64 vs a Raspberry.
Also, where do I find the R64 equivalent of /boot/config.txt and /etc/rc.local from the raspbian OS?
The tutorial says one must modify both of these files on a raspberry. That, and enable I2C.
I'm a noob with SBCs, so all help is welcome.
Thank you for your time.

I have a really strange problem.
I got the 4gb version with the 16G emmc module and the flasher from the store and am using etcher.
Every time I flash an image and plug it into the rock64 to boot, it sometimes doesn't boot at all, sometimes I get some screen output and sometimes it just works.
But even when it works the rock64 will hang after a few hours to a few days. When I then restart it I'm presented with some console out again but it hangs before it gets into the OS.
Here is a picture of the how the hanging console output looks after the last "corruption".

Any idea if this might be a problem with the emmc module or the rock64 itself?
(btw should I remove the 16G sticker from the emmc module?)

Hi,
I have rock64 running ayufan armhf / jessie / OMV3 - so 0.5.15-136. Its working well so I'm not planning to move to 0.6.41 yet.
If I do an apt-get update, i see a number of ayufan 0.6.41 arm64 packages listed. I haven't updated these packages as I think I need stretch.
Is it safe to run these updates given my system is armhf 32?
Thanks
jata
