  MicroSD potential corruption
Posted by: connorja - 07-21-2018, 06:26 PM - Forum: Ubuntu - Replies (1)

Hi
My pine is unable to boot after sharp power outages causing the pine to lose power.
When I tried to boot and view its output via HDMI, it is stuck.

Is there a way to scan / repair my SD card to save the OS image on it right now? It has configuration for packages on there which took me some time to get right in order to work as I need.

I am running the longsleep build if this information helps.

  Execute x86_64 into aarch64 arquitecture
Posted by: KyMAN - 07-21-2018, 02:08 AM - Forum: Linux on Rock64 - Replies (3)

Hello. How are you? I have a question... Could I execute an excutable x86_64 file into the Debian 9 Stretch for Pine Rock64? I understand the Debian is aarch64 and when I try to execute my file (Xonotic server) in 32bits (I think this is x86_64) the terminal write me "Exec format error". I read the problem is the architecture for was compilated. In other platforms there are some solucions like install libc6:i386 but not work here. Coul you help me please? Many thanks guys!

P.D.: My native language is not English. I hope this text was good for read and understand xD.

  Battery support

Does anyone know if pineh64´s euler bus support battery?

I am afraid it wont support as I don`t see any LiPo Battery header and in the pineh64 euler schematic the batt pin appears to be blank.

But having a mini PCI, that could be used to connect a 3G/4G card, and a battery circuit, this could be an excelent IoT card.

Installing another WiFi module on one of the buses

Hi,
Is it possible to install another WiFi module on one of the two buses? the Pi-bus or the euler bus.

  SOPINE MAC Address
Posted by: htg20@yahoo.com - 07-19-2018, 03:40 AM - Forum: General Discussion on PINE A64-LTS / SOPINE - Replies (2)

Hi,

I have bought several SOPINEs and SOPINE Boards as well as the SOPINE cluster board. I have installed the Ubuntu Mate on one SD card and copy it to others. It seems that that the SOPINE boards all have the same hardware Mac Address and this causes some other issues. Any thoughts on how should I deal with this? Thank you.

Best,
H.

  Touchscreen

Hello all,

I am planning to put together an Android device using a ROCKPro64 board. I'm a bit overwhelmed by the amount of interfaces available so I come here for counsel. I would like to use a 10" touchscreen, specifically the one offered on Amazon here. It uses HDMI but if anyone knows of a better solution please chime in! Honestly, I don't even know where to obtain a touch screen with some of the interfaces supported. in any case, I welcome all suggestions.

Thanks!
PBJ

  Installing other USB ports
Posted by: mido2018 - 07-17-2018, 04:26 PM - Forum: USB 2.0 Ports - Replies (3)

Hi,
I have the pine64+ board. It has two USB ports. I need to install an extra one or two USB ports. What is the best way to do that? Is it possible to install a USB port on any of the GPIO pins?

  clusterboard enclosure - mini-itx m350

Hi All,

I've been asked to share some pics of the m350 I use. It's a basic no frills case but does the job nicely and no need for extra power connectors as I power it using hte barrel connector on the back of the board.

  rock64 lan disconnected with atv 7.1 (0.3.13)
Posted by: tjorder@gmail.com - 07-16-2018, 09:30 PM - Forum: Android on Rock64 - Replies (1)

The lan is disconnected in rock64 atv 7.1 (auyfan git android-7.1-rock-64-rock64_atv-v0.3.13-r115-raw.img.gz).  Works just fine with rock64 stock android v7.1 and 8.1.  Using microSD versions for all.  Flashing back and forth and can repeat results:  atv 7.1 (lan not working) and android 7.1/8.1 (lan works just fine).  Using same DHCP settings for both.

I could have sworn atv 7.1 worked first time and stopped working after re-flashing with android 8.1.  Perhaps android 8.1 installed low level firmware that isn't compatible with atv 7.1?  Any thoughts on how to test this theory or how to re-flash low-level firmware back to factory defaults?

Thanks,
Tim

High quality metal case incoming :)
Posted by: Luke - 07-16-2018, 02:36 PM - Forum: General Discussion on ROCK64 - Replies (8)

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to showcase an upcoming high quality case for the Rock64 and the future board that will be the Pine H64 B, which is shown in one of the photos.
So its not only the RockPro64 thats getting a fancy case Wink

The case is all metal (from the looks of it powder-coated) and on the inside there is a large rail that makes contact with the SOC (possibly also RAM - need to confirm this). In result the entire case - or at the least the top half - acts as a heatsink. All the cut-outs for the I/O are there - including the IR - as well as the power and reset switches.

I'll update the thread as I know more about the case itself and its availability.
