  Is my board dead? [SOLVED]
Posted by: duckkcud - 10-15-2018, 07:23 PM - Forum: General Discussion on ROCKPRO64 - Replies (2)

Both Ethernet lights are solid. Power light comes on.

White light doesn't.

No power to USB drive.

Nothing on HDMI output.

Only used it a handful of times...

  Pinebook 14 inch availability
Posted by: david_spring - 10-15-2018, 01:11 PM - Forum: General Discussion on Pinebook - No Replies

I would like to order a Pinebook 14. But when I open the form to order one, the only option listed is the 11 inch model. I understand that the 11 inch model is currently being shipped for the month of October and November. I am wondering when the next chance will be to get a 14 inch model and how I can get my name on a list to get one of those.

  NAS Fan operation?
Posted by: celer - 10-14-2018, 07:33 PM - Forum: General Discussion on ROCKPRO64 - Replies (2)

Hi I have a NAS nearly working but the fan never seems to come on, it's plugged into the header for the fan, I'm using bionic 7.9 - do I have to do something specific to get the fan to turn on?

  Rock64Pro PCI-E card issues
Posted by: celer - 10-14-2018, 07:32 PM - Forum: General Discussion on ROCKPRO64 - No Replies

Hi I have 2 rock64pro boards, one can see the pci card and one cannot, using the exact same emmc module, just swapped between boards

The one that can see the pci card is:

Rockpro64_2.1
2018-06-06

Code:
root@rockpro64:/storage# uname -a
Linux rockpro64 4.4.154-1122-rockchip-ayufan-g7859b9b904a9 #1 SMP Mon Oct 1 07:32:42 UTC 2018 aarch64 aarch64 aarch64 GNU/Linux

root@rockpro64:/storage# cat /etc/issue.net

Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS

root@rockpro64:/storage# lspci
00:00.0 PCI bridge: Rockchip Inc. RK3399 PCI Express Root Port Device 0100
01:00.0 SATA controller: ASMedia Technology Inc. ASM1062 Serial ATA Controller (rev 02)

And the one that cannot see the pci card is (This one has been pretty finicky and won't always boot - I think it is very sensitive to how the emmc module is situated)

Rockpro64_2.1
2018-07-02

lspci causes the board to crash. Any thoughts?

Kodi -> SPDIFAdapter -> External Decoder
Posted by: jufranz - 10-13-2018, 01:09 PM - Forum: Rock64 Hardware and Accessories - Replies (4)

Hi all,
I am thinking on getting an Rock64 to replace my old computer that serves as a the media center in my place.
By looking at the forums and at the almost non-existant docs on the DAC adapter I could not figure out if it will work on my case or not:

 - I want to run h265 from an NAS (gigabit) on Kodi and send the audio via the optical cable to be decoded on my external sound system. Does the board and daughter board support pass through audio including DTS?

Cheers! Heart

  Getting root on RockPro64
Posted by: Jix0 - 10-13-2018, 11:10 AM - Forum: Android on RockPro64 - Replies (4)

Hello everyone.

I have a little question about root. I installed Aida64 to get info about the board and I have discovered an entry, stating the device is rooted.. Ok, but SuperSU nowehere, so I decided to install it manually. I downloaded the apk and installed it, and after I ran it, error message appered. "Device not rooted".. So I am little confused, but ok, I know what to do, but I need TWRP to flash SuperSU and other flashable things..

Is it possible to flash with "stock" recovery? I haven't found TWRP for RockPro64 anwhere, but I suppose I can use TWRP for another RK3399 device.. If I mess something I can always reflash to stock via AndroidTool..

Also I tried to flash Ayufan image to see if it is rooted or have Gapps installed, but I cannot get it to boot.. Downloaded right archive and flashed with Pine64 installer but it won't boot.

Any advice how to get another recovery there, will be helpful.. Thanks for response Smile

PineA64+ Armbian not boot, black screen and log
Posted by: klode - 10-13-2018, 07:11 AM - Forum: Armbian - Replies (3)

Hi,
After about one and half year of h24 running my Pine64 with debian armbian 3.10.107, I got a black screen with some message and last a "Call Trace" once. Then it require to insert root password. Then, "Press Ctrl+D to Continue". If I press Ctrl+D it reboots, and again from beginning.

I want to leave you the log captured on:

Code:
/var/log/syslog

using pastebin:
syslog
( It is not the entire log I've seen on my monitor. Is there a method to capture entire log in monitor during boot? )
Anyway, my question is: can I restore my Armbian SD without formatting?

NAS Box - fdisk not showing hard-drives w/pcie sata card
Posted by: dkebler - 10-12-2018, 12:30 PM - Forum: General Discussion on ROCKPRO64 - No Replies

Just getting my new pine64 NAS box up and running.
I've got the ayufan latest stable image loaded and running no issues (18.04 ubuntu).
I have the pcie sata card I bought from pine64.
I have them connected to two 3.5" Hitachi drives
The drives are powered and I did see a momentary light flash on the card but when I do a fdisk -L neither drive is listed.

Given all the hardware looks good does the ayufan built kernel not include that pcie board?

Why can't I see these drives?

hmm.   if I just cat dev/disks/by-id   I see them sda/sbd

Well something changed after a reboot I see the drives with fdisk now so ......nevermind Confused

And I'm looking forward to getting it.

I purchased it to encourage you (Pine64) and others to produce more (and more powerful) versions with Linux, etc.

  5 MP camera with Rockpro64
Posted by: rahulsharma - 10-12-2018, 06:24 AM - Forum: General Discussion on ROCKPRO64 - Replies (1)

Dear team,
i just bought the new Rockpro64 and running Ubuntu18 LXDE image. Its running good. Happy with the product.
Also i have bought two cameras 13 MP and 5 MP CSI cameras just to experiment.
I have read the document related to both the cameras but still want to clarify that Does 5 MP camera will not work with Rockpro64?
As when i connect this and rebooted, it does not boot and throughs error.

As i am using linux OS thus 13 MP will not supported.

Basically in short please clarify both the cameras for linux image on Rockpro64.
