I need a spare eMMC for my Quartz64 project so I think I will steal the 64Gb one from my PBP and upgrade the PBP to 128Gb.
The problem is that the only 128Gb ones that I can find are Hardkernel ones meant for Odroid C4. I am looking at Hardkernel eMMC v0.4 "Purple box" from ebay seller repectech. Am I correct thinking that this will work just fine in my PBP ?
thanks
I can't get the Odroid 128Gb eMMC to recognise on a Linux desktop using the pine64 eMMC to USB adapter :-(
According to the seller many of the USB to eMMC and microSD to eMMC adapters don't work with Hardkernel 128Gb modules. I think he is correct because when I put it in my quartz64 and boot from microSD then Linux on the microSD can see it as Disk /dev/mmcblk1: 116.48 GiB, 125074145280 bytes, 244285440 sectors
I used my Quartz64 to image the Hardkernel eMMC with the default Manjaro PBP image.
It booted in the PBP and appears to work perfectly.

ameridroid,,, but, but, but,, I just got a 128GB emmc,, neither of my adapters would work (usb2, uSD)
Had to get a new usb3 adapter, ~$20,, maybe something to do with 'HS200'
I got the eMMC working and both Manjaro and mrfixit debian installed, however I am hitting an issue (at least in Manjaro, not really tested mrfixit much yet) that the PBP just totally locks up without warning sometimes.
More specifically from cold it will typicaly work for a few minutes and lock up, and then after a long power button press will reboot and work perfectly, so it's almost like a temperature issue.
I need to go back to the factory 64Gb eMMC to be sure, but it seems to me that this Odroid eMMC might not be 100% compatible.
