It's a shooter, a mouse is kinda requirement

I run openarena windowed at 640x480 and have ~60fps , I'm not using fb_turbo etc, it's running on regular openGL with panfrost in X11.

the baseoa permissions can be fixed with: sudo chmod a+rx baseoa - no need to copy elsewhere

i installed to /usr/local/games/openarena and linked the binaries to /usr/local/bin/

works great

My issue is that vertexlight 1 is not respected in multiplayer - and this makes a huge difference in terms of performance ideas?

I can check this out. I am using Debian sid arm64 with mesa-git currently so we will likely have very different setups.

I also updated my openarena build for musl, it uses SDL2 now so it can run in wayland compositors.
