Have you ever thought that you would get away with mobile UI and live with TTY? Well, it looks like the dream came true.  Big Grin

Ok, i have some question:
1) What is TTY keyboard? google says: TTY stands for Text Telephone. ... A TTY is a special device that lets people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or speech-impaired use the telephone to communicate, by allowing them to type messages back and forth to one another instead of talking and listening.

2) Why your soft keyboard is so strange, it is a TTY keboard? what is its pro and cons?

3) Whay you use a pair of gloves? Pine phone have a virus? Tongue

The mentioned TTY is practically the name of Unix(-like) character terminal.
It comes from  TeleTYpewriter.

Also the standard serial port (COM1) can be located at /dev/ttyS0 or FT232 / PL2303 or other USB-UART interfaces as /dev/ttyUSB0 or USB-CDC as /dev/ttyACM0 where 0 increases by every additional interfaces.

The first standard terminal (CTRL+ALT+F1) of a Linux system is basically called tty1, the second one is tty2, etc.

So it is the standard terminal. Smile

Because it was built using standard ASCII characters I think.

The advantage of it is that it can be drawn using a standard character interface (no need a graphical interface) and the disadvantage is the limited available characters to work with (so its pure outfit).

I don't want to infect the PinePhone with a virus so... LOL
Actually I wear it on videos cause I like it, you can also see this behavior on previous Pinetab videos (except for Chromium)
