I saw the screen flicker at what I thought was about 50% battery, (>4 hours).
Decided to drain the battery, so I put it aside running. Within minutes, screen went black and power LED turned off. Could not restart it. So I pugged it in, to charge. That brought functionality back, and no flicker so far. But, the initial charge did not last as long as I expected. (Of course, it could have been the 30 minutes of stress tests while on battery...)
Perhaps the flicker is due to low voltage, when the battery is close to being drained.
