The LCD Touchscreen requires a different software image to the HDMI version. See here on the Pine wiki.

(Note that only Android currently works with the LCD screen. There is no LCD compatible image of openHAB, Ubuntu, Debian, RemixOS, etc).

i read this post [on armbian forum] this morning concerning the use of the lcd panel on other builds.

it was linked from this post,
http://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=2265, which is an informative, insightful must read/join and possibly contribute if useful info is gained , imo. but in any event that armbian forum post shines a light of hope on the lcd panel situation. certainly worth trying on other builds.

Make sure you downloaded and burned the "LCD" version of software, not HDMI. Also, on the first boot, remove the wireless module card. After the Pine64 boots completed, turn off, and reinstalled wireless module.
