Hotspot missing on the pinephone
#1
Hello People,

I have just noticed a missing feature on the pine phone: a hotspot. My pine phone has UB Ports on it and so does my BQ 4.5 original Ubuntu phone. My original phone does have a hotspot in the software but the pine phone doesn't. Can anybody tell me why?

Not certain "where" it is on the newer UBPorts Op.Sys. but on the Phosh desktops it is the hamburger icon on the top right corner
of your wifi page.
First you must turn off the wifi, then turn on the hotspot.

Using Mobian I have successfully used the hot spot on my orig. Pine phone vers. 1.2a (convergent edition)
==> While I did find working data on both the orig. & the Pro. phones --- I have not tested hot spot on the Pro yet.

Hello,

It's in the top part of the screen, you get it by pulling the top part down.

Is that just an on/off toggle on the pull-down ?

I just changed the sd card in the phone that I had UBPorts running on,

I think I saw the hot spot option back in the Settings

Hello,

Yes, it is. I cannot fathom why it does not have it! My other UB Ports phone has it, so why not the pine phone?
